International Summer Travel Opportunities

Students who are interested in international travel experiences during the summer of 2016 or 2017, here are good reasons to sign up NOW!

AP Scores Available July 9, 2015

To the 32 Western students who took one or more AP Exams this year, congratulations!  Your score reports will be available on the AP website, using the instructions in your Student Pack that you received on exam day.  Remember, you will need your College Board log-in and your AP Student Number to access your scores.  All exams that you took this year will be scored and released online at:

5:00 a.m. on July 9th

Corban University Summer Theatre Camp (for elementary, middle school, and high school students)

INTO THE WILD, Corban's 15th Annual Theatre Camp, will be July 20-August 1, 2015.  This camp is open to students in grades 4-12 and runs from 8:30 a.m.-noon Monday-Friday.

Summer Reading and Speed Reading for Grades 6-12

If you are interested in improving your reading comprehension or speed over the summer, check out the Summer Reading Program directed by the Institute of Reading Development.  The Salem location is at Blanchet Catholic School, 4373 Market Street NE:

Students entering grades 6-8:
*Every Friday July 24-August 21 from 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Students entering grades 9-11:
*Every Thursday from July 23-August 20 from 3:45-6:15 p.m.

Students entering grade 12 or college:
*Every Thursday from July 23-August 20 from 7-9:30 p.m.

Last Chance for Juniors to take SAT this year!!!

Tomorrow (May 8) at 9:00 p.m. is the very last moment that Juniors can sign up for the final SAT test date this year (June 6).  If you are a JUNIOR, and you did not already take the SAT this year, please log in to your College Board account and get registered tonight! (May 7) or tomorrow (May 8) before 9:00 p.m.  This is a very important step in your college preparation process, so get it done :)
