Students and parents are encouraged to stop by and ask questions/learn more about programs offered, financial aid, and admissions requirements. Corban University coming to WMS on October 31
Corban University Admissions will be in the WMS Cafeteria during 2nd lunch this Thursday, October 31st to talk to students and answer questions regarding Corban's academics, admissions, student life, financial aid, and scholarships. Students and parents are welcome to stop by anytime between 12:00 and 12:30. If you are unable to come in person, you can look up more information about Corban on their website: www.corban.edu

Mennonite College Fair at WMS on October 24th
All 5 Mennonite Colleges will be at WMS this Thursday, October 24th all day in the Student Center.
Students in 8th, 10th, and 12th grade will be visiting the college fair during their social science classes, plus the colleges will be doing a special chapel for all students and there will be time for individual appointments during 7th period and after school.

Also, remember that the 24th of October is the last day for Juniors/Seniors to turn in their $50 and registration form for the fly trip to Hesston and Bethel. Stop by the Guidance Office if you have questions or need more details.

George Fox University Admissions Luncheon at WMS
George Fox University will be doing an admissions luncheon on Tuesday, October 22nd during high school lunch. This will include valuable information about admissions requirements, college majors, and financial aid/scholarships. The sign up sheet is posted outside the Guidance Office, and if you'd like to see which WMS faculty/staff/students have attended George Fox, check out the Pennant Wall :)
Lunch will be provided for students and parents who sign up prior to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 21st.

National Christian College Fair in Oregon on October 14th
The National Christian College Fair will be in Oregon on
Monday, October 14th from 6-8 p.m. at Westside Christian High School,
4565 Carman Drive, Lake Oswego, Oregon 97035.
This is a great opportunity for students and families to meet with
college representatives to learn about the value of Christian higher education,
interact with over 50 Christian colleges and universities, and attend a financial
aid seminar on how to finance Christian higher education. Admission is FREE.

Hesston College and Bethel College (Kansas) Fly Trip
Hesston College and Bethel College are jointly sponsoring a fly trip for any interested Juniors or Seniors, November 7-9, 2013. This is a special trip planned exclusively for students who are attending Mennonite high schools across the country. The itinerary includes a full day/night at each college (in Kansas) where students will experience both academic and social aspects of college life. The cost is only $50 per student, which includes round-trip airfare, airport pick-up, food, lodging, and all activities for the weekend. The deadline to register/pay the $50 fee is Thursday, October 24th. If you are interested in visiting these two colleges, please go to the Guidance Office and pick up a registration form, then return it to Darlene no later than Thursday, October 24th. Dordt College Admissions Luncheon at WMS
This coming Monday, October 14th, an Admissions Representative from Dordt College will be at Western to share information about college majors, admissions, and financial aid. Students and parents interested in this event, please sign up in advance at the Guidance Office. Lunch will be provided for those who sign up before 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10th (remember, there's no school on Friday, October 11).
