FAFSA and other Financial Aid
Seniors - please read this and pass it on to your parents:
1) You should complete your FAFSA as soon as possible...even if you don't think you will be eligible for any financial aid. Your college's financial aid office and also private scholarship committees will want you to have completed a FAFSA before they offer you anything. You can estimate your 2013 tax information. Don't wait until you file your taxes. www.fafsa.ed.gov
2) Once you have filed your FAFSA, go to the next step and apply for a ton of scholarships with ONE application at www.getcollegefunds.org
3) Next, contact the financial aid offices of the colleges you are still considering and make sure you are aware of, and meet deadlines for, their institutional financial aid and scholarships.
4) Last, don't forget to apply for private scholarships through www.fastweb.com and also the local ones that I list on this blog.
