Corban Offers Student Loan Repayment Assistance Program for WMS Class of 2013
The senior class at Western Mennonite HS has been
selected to participate in Corban University’s new Loan Repayment Assistance
Program (LRAP)! This is their first year offering this program to an
entire graduating class of 2013 for specific selected schools, and WMS students
have been chosen! Maybe you have written off Christian higher education due to the
issue of cost or concern about the economy after graduation – if so, please consider attending the following presentation for Parents and Students:
2. It allows students to know they will not be caught in a bind with loans after school.
3. LRAP permits graduates to accept a job offer that may not be the highest pay grade, but will allow them to work up in their field (instead of accepting a potentially higher-paid job that has nothing to do with their major or what they want to be pursuing)

To give you a brief overview, the LRAP is a safety net for
any accumulated student loans and is zero cost to the students or parents.
After graduation from Corban, this program would begin
reimbursing their loans if the students are earning anything less than $37,000
per year while working 30+ hrs. per week. We believe that if a graduate is
making $37,000+ per year, they would be able to make those payments on their
own, and the LRAP is not necessary.
The percentage paid by LRAP is proportionate to the
student’s annual income (after graduation). If the student earns less than
$20,000, this program would repay 100% of the monthly payments on those loans
until they begin earning more. If they earn half-way between $37,000 and
$20,000 (about $29,000), this program would reimburse 50% of the monthly
payments on those loans, and so on.
Corban University is providing LRAP to WMS students for a
number of reasons:
1.
We are confident that the education at Corban
will prepare students for those well-paid jobs.
We are thrilled to share this truly incredible opportunity
with your students at Western Mennonite. For more information , attend the information session or contact:
