West Salem Rotary $2,000 Scholarships

West Salem Rotary is proud of its legacy in providing financial assistance to West Salem area students. Over the years, the Club has distributed dozens of scholarships that have enriched the lives of West Salem youth.  Our Berry Sale fundraiser is the primary source of income for these scholarships.  In 2015 the Club plans to award 10 scholarships at $2,000 each.

Students with the following criteria are eligible to apply for scholarships:

• Live in West Salem
• Must be graduating high school or be currently enrolled in college
• Display a need for financial help
• Have the desire to accomplish
• Have the grades or talent to reach their goals

Deadlines, Key DatesApplications are due February 13, 2015 by mail. Interviews will be conducted in March. Recipients will be called by the end of the month and invited to a special scholarship awards dinner for the recipients and their families in April.

Selection
The selection will be made by the Scholarship Chairman and committee members after a review of the applications and an interview with each student. Applications should be made available to all high schools where West Salem students may be in attendance. Funds may be applied to trade schools as well as universities.
